At Steamboat Springs you can head on to the Steamboat Springs Ski Resort to have just an amazing time on the slopes. At the Steamboat Springs Ski Resort there’s over 2900 acres with 297 trails! There’s a fair amount of trails and slopes for beginners however the majority of the trails are spread out between intermediate and advanced skiers. You can also go snowboarding here if you’re not a big fan of skiing or, if you rather do both! The choice is definitely yours to make. Also, if you are a complete beginner to winter sports, there are lessons available at the Ski Resort for you to partake in and learn. They offer ski lessons and snowboarding lessons, so you’ll have a chance at taking the one you like or, both if you’re undecided on what you’d prefer to do.

Hiking

If you’re a big fan of the great outdoors, then you’ll have a blast coming to Steamboat Springs. Skiing, isn’t the only outdoor activity you can do here, in Steamboat Springs, you can go hiking on some of the most amazing hiking trails. For instance you can head on down to the Fish Creek Canyon. The Fish Creek Canyon is one of the most popular hiking destinations in Steamboat Springs. One of the reasons why it’s one of the most popular hiking destinations is because of the breathtaking views. In addition, Fish Creek Falls is open year round, with its peak season being around when the snow starts to melt. However in the summer you can enjoy clear beautiful waters and the most amazing wildlife and scenery. While in the winter time, you can enjoy snowshoeing on the trail. Fish Creek Falls, isn’t the only popular hiking trail around Steamboat Springs, as there is also Spring Creek, and Emerald Mountain Quarry, among others. 

Restaurants

While in Steamboat Springs whether you’re staying for a short while or a long time, you’ll want to try out the local restaurants. In Steamboat Springs, there is a healthy mix of fine dining and casual restaurants that aren’t too hard on the wallet. One of the most popular and best restaurants around is Back Door Grill. At Back Door Grill you can look at spending around $20 to $30 for your meal. They serve a wide variety of burgers, sides and desserts. So if burgers are your favorite food, then Back Door Grill is a must visit for you. If you’re into Irish food, and like to head on out to the pub after skiing, then O’Neil’s Tavern & Grill is the place for you.  If you’re craving pizza, then you can head on out to How Ya Doin Pizza where you can have a wide array of tasty pizzas with different topics at an affordable price range. As a bonus, you can also go there for happy hour and it’s a great place to watch sports! On the other end, if you’re feeling for some Mexican food, you can always go to Taco Cabo. Taco Cabo serves tacos (obviously) and a wide array of other Mexican food favorites like Chile, Al Pastor, Chipotle, Quesadillas and so much more. Again, all of it is at an affordable price range which makes for the perfect restaurant to go to once you’re all done skiing. Overall, let’s just say we scratched the surface for the restaurant scene in Steamboat Springs as there are so many other possible honorable mentions.

Horseback  Riding

Do you like animals, especially horses? You may want to head on down to Steamboat Springs, where you can get a chance to do some horseback riding? You can head on down to Del’s Triangle 3 Ranch. At Del’s Ranch in Steamboat Springs you can go horseback riding on select trails that they have available. They also have rides of different lengths such as 1 hour rides, 2 hour rides, half day rides as well as even full day rides. You can go solo, with your family or even partner and enjoy the most iconic scenic views that Steamboat Springs has to offer.
